It’s not surprising that he’s fond of you, you (and your wife) have been the largest figures in his life.

One key thing that I think most parents forget is that at end of the day, it does not matter how many toys the kid has, or whether you disciplined them. All that matters, is for that kid to feel loved. And I’m pretty damn sure Austin knows he loved.
