		<description>Stopping the sub-verbalization is what I was taught 30 years ago in a speed reading course.   It sounds like they are still teaching the same pointers.  Faster reading does cause the nuances to slip by and for tech reading that is not good. Finding a quiet place also helps retention.  Finding the time is the real secret.</description>
